Abstract
The article presents the results of the analysis of research and experience (both domestic and foreign) in the application of various types of pile structures in the hydraulic engineering industry. It has been established that in hydraulic engineering construction the most widespread application is for bored piles, secant drilled piles, driven piles and tongue-and-groove piles. The features of their application for construction of anti-filtration barriers of dams, for overlapping of stream channels, for foundation of flume channels, aqueducts, berths, embankments, fencing, bank protection and other hydraulic engineering structures have been disclosed. Structural, geometric and technological features of pile structures are described, as well as the peculiarities of their work under load from the structures. Methods for predicting the parameters of sinking, deformability, stability and carrying capacity of piles and pile foundations, which allow to take into account the laws of their joint work with hydraulic structures, are considered. It is shown that pile structures in hydraulic engineering construction have a number of indisputable advantages, including such advantages as cost-effectiveness, manufacturability, fast construction, reliability and stability.
